We will then travel to South Africa in April 2017 to build the school ourselves!

We are a team of 38 second year Architecture students at the University of Nottingham who will collaboratively design a nursery school for the children in Lephepane village, South Africa.

Our fundraising target for the project is £38,000, which we will raise through events and our JustGiving page! All donations will go towards materials and construction costs.

ABOUT US

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are a group of students and staff from the department of Architecture & Built Environment at the University of Nottingham. We've joined together to raise money to build a nursery school in the rural village of Lephepane, Limpopo, South Africa. It is one of the poorest, least developed parts of the country, with high levels of unemployment.

Our target for the project is to raise £38,000.
Your donation will help provide a bright, clean and safe environment for teaching basic skills, play and music to village children. It will also provide employment for the local women who teach in the nursery school, cook meals, wipe noses and sing and play with the kids.

We pride ourselves on spending as much of our fundraising locally in the communities around the villages we build in - we have no big salaries or expensive offices to fund. The money raised will be spent on materials, tools, subcontracted works and project logistics associated with daily transport to the site. Students pay for their own flights and accommodation.
